Hawzah News Agency- The solemn occasion was attended by an array of official and government dignitaries, alongside massive crowds exceeding thousands of members from the Michigan Muslim community.
The program commenced with the recitation of the historical martyrdom narrative (Maqtal) of Imam Hussein (PBUH) in English, delivered by Sayed Ahmad Qazwini. Followed by congregational elegies and chest-beating lamentations performed in the English language.
The traditional Arabic recitation of the Maqtal was then delivered by Sayed Hassan Qazwini.Reciter Hajj Ahmad Hamdan chanted a moving, sorrowful elegy (Nadbiya) inspired by the tragedy of Karbala, which was followed by the recitation of Ziyarat Ashura.The program concluded with the distribution of more than 4,000 hot meals of Harissa distributed as a charitable offering in honor and love of Imam Hussein (PBUH).
